Trek to the roof of Cambodia. Phnom Aural (1,813 m) is the country's highest peak, deep in the Kampong Speu highlands. This overnight adventure starts with a community homestay, climbs through forest to a mountain campsite beside Peam Ku waterfall, then pushes pre-dawn to the summit and a historic plane-crash site before descending. A strenuous rainy-season trek for fit, well-prepared adventurers.

Khnang Kroper Mountain

A two-day ridge trek in the Aoral highlands. Khnang Kroper means "crocodile back", for the long spine-like ridge you walk along. The hook is the open grassland on top: rolling green meadows, a lone tree, long grass paths. You camp at the CI campsite, visit a waterfall on the first afternoon, and wake before dawn to walk out to Poy Lok for sunrise over a sea of cloud. The morning ends with a photo session at the Jelly Flower Garden before the descent.

Khnang Veal Mountain

A summit-camping trek with a local, community-style approach. You ride a two-wheel tractor (kôyon) out to the foothill, then climb on foot through forest to a camp right on the mountain top. Sunset on arrival, a night under the stars, sunrise straight from camp, and a bathing stop at Da Touch waterfall on the way down. The ascent is earned — about five and a half hours — and that is exactly what makes the top feel like yours.
